Mobile barbers cut in homes, offices, hotels and film sets. However, there is rarely a proper station waiting. So your kit has to replace the station completely.

Packing tips

How to pack a mobile barber kit

Start with clippers and chargers in the padded slots. Then add shears, combs and guards to the tool pockets. Next, slide the rig in flat on top.

Also, keep a cape, neck strips, spray bottle and disinfectant in the outer pockets. That way, you never forget the basics.

Check your state board rules before you start house calls, because licensing varies by state. For example, the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology publishes its rules online.
